HOSPICE is a care program that provides a centralized program of palliative and supportive services to terminally ill persons and their families, in the form of physical, psychological, social and spiritual care; such services are provided by an interdisciplinary team of professionals and volunteers who are available at home and in specialized inpatient settings. The emphasis of HOSPICE is comfort and quality of life for the patient. These services are provided free of charge to the family and are dependent upon public funding to survive.

Our intention...
The purpose of this organization is to provide the opportunity to raise funds that are provided directly to HOSPICE as a way of thanking them. Our primary fundraisers will be an annual golf outing as well as an annual Spring Dance.  Information regarding these fundraisers can be found on the upcoming year's link. At each of these events we intend to create an atmosphere of fellowship and fun. So don't hesitate to come and enjoy yourself and help us provide funds to a very worthy organization.

Why we do it...
We spend the time to coordinate these events because we have witnessed first hand the care that HOSPICE provides to men and women whose candles are on the verge of going out. HOSPICE provided care while showing the respect that our loved ones deserved at this time of their lives. Additionally they provided us the time and privacy that we needed with our loved ones.

Initially, we did this to honor Carol Schurr (Doug and Dave Schurr), Ed Zawierucha (Dave Zawierucha) and Ken Hemmer (Dave and Jackie Collins, Jim and Shelley Webster). Since it's inception we have had an additional experience with the loss of one of Sue Hemmer. Sue was among our founding donors and was always present and lending a helping hand the day of our events. These are the loved ones that have prompted our efforts. We are certain that you also have people that you know that have been cared for her so we encourage you to come to our outings and enjoy yourself and if you see it in your heart, give a little and help us to help HOSPICE.
